Our villageSt Saturnin-lès-Apt is an off-the-path village on the slope of the Mount Vaucluse, with traditional cafes and gem restaurants. Our top recommendations go to "L'Estrade" and of course, a walk up to the castle for an amazing view over the Luberon, and the very surprising water reservoir above the village.
For hikers and mountain bikers, beautiful trails await you straight from the property, up to the "garrigue" of Vaucluse. |
BeyondOur guest home is close to all the gorgeous and renowned villages you'll want to visit; Gordes, Oppede, Roussillon, Menerbes, Lacoste and Bonnieux . . . , but also the more discrete hidden gems such as Goult, Joucas, Saignon and Lourmarin.
Suggestions for your agenda: Visit treasures of architecture nested in lavender fields, shaded village townsquares whereto sip a Pastis, go antiques hunting in L'isle-sur-Sorgue and Muscat tasting in Beaumes de Venise . . . |
And further . . .The Mediterranean sea is only a 1.5 hour drive, where the Cassis calanques, and its "bouillabaisse" soup will be your treat for the day. Going East, the mountain of "Lure" is renowned for biking and hiking, and the valley below for endless lavender fields, surrounding Manosque and Forcalquier with purple gold.
Westbound, towards Avignon and the charming Uzes, you will come across the "Pont du Gard" and can take a swim in the river. |
